Classic Steinway Model O 5’10.5″, from the “Golden Age” of Steinway manufacturing 1920. Rebuilt and refinished about 15 years ago with new pins, strings, dampers, beautiful hand rubbed satin finish, new Steinway hammers, shanks and wippens, re-gilded plate and revarnished board. Little playing time since rebuild, hammers barely have a groove. Our furniture people and technicians went over it so it looks and sounds great. Our furniture people just freshened the case up and gave it a “French Polish” which is several coats of hand applied padding lacquer put over the original finish which brings out the grain and evens the sheen and gives the piano a like new look. Magnificent, singing Steinway B 6’10.5″ from the “Golden Age” of Steinway manufacturing 1927. Completely rebuilt in 2002 by the esteemed European Piano Experts in Los Angeles. Since the rebuild, it has had one owner in a private home and played very lightly and sparingly. The rebuild was done with Renner Blue Hammers, Mapes Bass Strings, and Renner Shanks, Flanges & Whippens & a Bouldoc pin block. Also new dampers, re-gilded the plate, revarnished the soundboard, refinished the case. Our technicians went over the action regulating it to a concert stage performance level.
